Lingua Literature Circles
Literature Circles are a teaching method that allows students to share ideas and thoughts about material they have read together. In a second language classroom, they create a comfortable, structured environment where students can practice speaking, build vocabulary, review grammar concepts, and develop confidence communicating in the target language.
Each LinguaReaders subscription includes the full Lingua Literature Circles program — lesson plans, discussion worksheets, reading comprehension questions, rubrics, homework ideas, and classroom activities for every reader at every level.
Assign Roles
Students are divided into groups of 3 or 4 and given roles — Leader, Referee, Time Keeper, Distributor, and Spokesperson — keeping discussions structured and on task.
Read & Prepare
Students read the eBook independently or as a class using the online flipbook reader with multi-voice audio, then complete comprehension and discussion prep worksheets.
Discuss in the Target Language
Groups meet to discuss their reading using guided questions. The Referee ensures students speak in the target language — building real oral confidence.
Evaluate Across All 4 Skills
Included rubrics and activities allow teachers to assess reading, writing, oral, and auditory skills — everything needed to meet second language curriculum standards.
